Ning Xie

Dr. Xie Ning is a Professor, PhD supervisor, Senior Advisor at Huawei, IET Fellow, CCF Distinguished Member, and Outstanding Young Teacher of Guangdong Province. Since July 2007, Professor Xie has been engaged in teaching and research at Shenzhen University. In 2012, he served as a Visiting Professor at Rutgers University in New Jersey, conducting collaborative research with Professor Athina Petropulu (IEEE Fellow). In 2024, he served as a Visiting Professor at Stevens Institute of Technology, collaborating with Professor Hongbin Li (IEEE Fellow). Over the past five years, Professor Xie has published more than 50 papers as first author or corresponding author in prestigious IEEE journals. Professor Xie has received the Second Prize of Natural Science Award from the Ministry of Education (ranked first) and the Second Prize of China Invention and Entrepreneurship Innovation Award (ranked second). He holds 30 Chinese invention patents and 7 US invention patents, with 8 Chinese invention patents successfully transferred. Professor Xie has led more than 20 research projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He currently serves as an editor for 7 prestigious international journals including IEEE TIFS, IEEE TDSC, IEEE TCOM, COMCOM, and IET COM, and is a member of 4 professional committees. His academic contributions have garnered widespread attention in both academia and industry.
